Autism is a mental condition characterized by difficulty in forming interpersonal relationship, communication, and involving repetitive behavioral patterns. There are no clear details of its causes but it is greatly attributed to the person's genetic make up. There are no current medical tests for autism, although there are posed symptoms for its presence in a person.
The ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) is the most commonly used approach in treatment of autism because of its evidence based methods. It targets the individual's deficits in social, communication, and self-help skills and employs programs on reduction/replacement of undesired behaviors.
